Privacy Notice on the Remote Assistance Service via TeamViewer
Metal Work S.p.A. provides a remote technical assistance service through the TeamViewer QuickSupport software.
The service is provided exclusively upon the user’s voluntary request and following the optional download of the software.
The software allows authorised technical personnel to view and remotely operate on the user’s device solely for the purpose of providing technical support, maintenance, configuration or troubleshooting activities.
During the remote assistance session, personal data that may be stored on the device or accidentally viewed during the support activity may be processed.
Personal data are processed exclusively for technical assistance and operational support purposes.
The legal basis for the processing is:
- the performance of pre-contractual or contractual measures requested by the data subject;
- the legitimate interest of the Controller in ensuring adequate technical assistance services.
The user retains full control over the remote session and may terminate the connection at any time.
The TeamViewer software is provided by TeamViewer Germany GmbH. For further information regarding the processing of personal data carried out by the software provider, please refer to the relevant privacy policy available on the official website of the provider.
Metal Work S.p.A. declares that the software is used in compliance with the licence terms established by the provider.
Information on How the Service Works
The TeamViewer QuickSupport module does not allow permanent or automatic access to the user’s device.
The remote connection takes place exclusively:
- upon the user’s authorisation;
- through a temporary identification code;
- for the time strictly necessary to perform the support activity.
The user may interrupt the session at any time by closing the software or terminating the connection.
