Van Gogh. Drawings and paintings. Masterpieces from the Kröller Müller Museum
SANTA GIULIA MUSEUM - BRESCIA
This exhibition represented a truly unique occasion: that of being able to see, for the first time in Italy, as many as 85 drawings by Van Gogh, together with 15 famous paintings by the Dutch genius, all in precise agreement with the drawings themselves.
The exhibition, made possible by the generosity of the Kröller-Müller Museum in Otterlo, was further enriched by the loan, again from the same museum, of sixteen other paintings that allowed to tell the adventure as a collector of Helene Kröller-Müller, which from the 1938, the year preceding her death, the museum has to her, and to her husband Anton, entitled in the great forest of Hoge Veluwe in Holland. So works by Corot, Fantin-Latour, Pissarro, Seurat, Signac, Rops, Redon, Gris, Mondrian, Prikker and Toorop.
