The Waste Electrical and Electronic Equipment (WEEE) - Directive 2002 / 96 / CE.
These European standards cover the ban and restrictions on the use of certain substances in electric
and electronic equipment (RoHS) and restrictions on the flow of waste by means of recycling policies
(WEEE).
Use of the following substances is banned or restricted:
- Lead
- Mercury
- Cadmium
- Hexavalent chrome
- Flame retardants (PBB polybromide biphenyls and PBDE polybromide diphenyl ethers).
