NEWS 1/4 OF THE CENTURY NEWS 2006 Here we come, China! The Group’s expansion on the global market has focused on China. Metal Work Pneumatic (Shanghai) Co., Ltd. is the new Metal Work subsidiary, with the mission of driving the growth of our brand in Asia according to a far-reaching expansion project. Foreign investment trends indicate that China is the locomotive of global economy. The subsidiary was created in 2006 and is located in Shanghai Baoshan Gucun Industrial Section. The core business of the Chinese subsidiary is selling. Recently, however, Metal Work China has added the production of cylinders for the local market, as well as a warehouse, sales service, systems design and training. The organization is responsible for the regular supply of high-quality products and application solutions to all Chinese customers in the pneumatic automation industry. Metal Work is planning to achieve a comprehensive coverage of all industrial districts in China within few years. The Chinese team is currently made up of the Managing Director, some external salespeople, in-house and external engineers for pre-sales and post-sales assistance. In the next few months, the organization will be extended and supported by more qualified partners, adding value to the international growth project. P Service Milano To strenghten our sales network on the wide area of Milan and province, our three branches in Arese, Arcore and Trezzano joined up so creating the P Service Milano located in Arcore. ISO14001:2004 certificate for Metal Work S.p.A. During the yearly control effected last December by Dekra, we obtained the upgrade of our enviromental managing system. 18th QUALITY NATIONAL CAMPAIGN For over 10 years Metal Work has supported this initiative by the Galgano Group, which organises a quality campaign sponsored by leading institutions with the participation of over 400 Italian public and private companies. This campaign includes a series of initiatives associated with the important theme of Quality, which is highly topical and vital for Italian products to be competitive.
