NEWS 1/4 OF THE CENTURY NEWS 2005 Welcome to P service in Bari Metal Work has once again confirmed its strategy of creating controlled companies, in collaboration with local partners, that represent the Group while keeping a close eye on local customers. This summer 2005 is going to celebrate the creation of P service in Bari, based in Corato. New image from Brazil The acquisition of majority shares of the Brazilian company Dover, started in 2001, has been completed. The new company will be named Metal Work Dover Do Brasil and will have the mission to represent us in South America. With 30-year experience in production and markets, as well as an established position, the Latin America company is poised to achieve excellent results. The new brand image was presented at the annual Sales Convention in Sao Paulo (May 9-11, 2005) and the subsequent exhibition FEIMAFE (May 9-13, 2005). MW Portugal opens up In Portugal, a new Metal Work branch office will be established in 2005. Under the direct control of the Spanish subsidiary MW iberica, in collaboration with Mr. Alexandre Moreira, MW Portugal is going to open up in a country characterized by multiple ecosystems, where we hope to bring a similar variety of projects and success. Metal Work’s acquisitions of small manufacturing enterprises continues This year it was Fluid Force, a Brescia-based manufacturer of hydraulic and pneumatic components such as hydraulic speed regulators, hydraulic pumps, pressure multipliers and special products in this field. 17th QUALITY NATIONAL CAMPAIGN For over 10 years Metal Work has supported this initiative by the Galgano Group, which organises a quality campaign sponsored by leading institutions with the participation of over 400 Italian public and private companies. This campaign includes a series of initiatives associated with the important theme of Quality, which is highly topical and vital for Italian products to be competitive. ISO 9001 certification for our Poland partner Few months after our Brazilian partner, Metal Work Poland has obtained too the certification of the quality system according to the regulation ISO 9001:2000. Our best congratulations to the whole Polish team. New premises in USA The success of our trade subsidiary in the USA has led to the need of enlarging their premises. Starting from 7th JUNE, our operating centre works in its new venue located in Arlington, 1120 Eden Road, Suite 106.
