We are modifying the filtering cartridges on the FILTERS and FILTER-REGULATORS of 1/4", 3/8", 1/2" New Deal and Skillair 100, 200 and 300 and also of the SAC filter.
Up until today they have been in sintered bronze. In future they will be made in a plastic material, a high density polyethylene.
The material is the same used in the BIT and ONE units.
The flow rate performances will be essentially the same as in the past.
The new cartridges are interchangeable with the previous ones as for their dimensions. The codes of the articles and spare parts don't change.
The modification will be gradually introduced from the beginning of 2007 and starting with the 3/8"-1/2" New Deal.
The new solution has an interesting advantage: it's possible to distinguish the filtering degree of the cartridges from their colour:
the cartridges having filtering degree 4 or 5 µm are yellow coloured,
the cartridges having filtering degree 20 µm are white coloured,
the cartridges having filtering degree 50 µm are light-blue coloured.
- ISO 6431 regulation withdrawn and replaced by ISO 15552 dated 2004
Our cylinders essentially meet the requirements contained in this new regulation.
We planned to modify all the references on the technical documentation and on the catalogues on the occasion of our next product family renewal.
On our new catalogue you will find written in order to mantain the reference to the name we all know in any case, while the reference to the VDMA will be eliminated.

As for cartridge cylinders, we inform you that a rod nut will be added, the body hasn't got any OR anymore, dimensions and force of the spring change, (inserted indication in the catalogue - the working pressure will be maximum 6 bar, while before it was maximum 8 bar).
